The Mansfield Area Veterans Organizations schedule at least 3 distinctive ceremonies each year at the Veterans Memorial Park (west end of town on Rte 6) to honor those individuals currently serving, as well as those who have served and sacrificed in defense of our nation. These ceremonies are: Memorial Day, 9/11, and Veterans Day.

The 2024 Schedule

Memorial Day - Monday, May 27, 11 a.m.

9/11 - Wednesday, September 11, 11 a.m.

Veterans Day (WWI Armistice Day) - Monday, November 11, 11 a.m.

The Hometown Heroes Banner Program was designed to help communities never forget the brave men and women in our military who have served our nation.

Hometown Heroes Banner Program was created to honor the individuals who are serving and those who have served and sacrificed in defense of our nation.

This is a sample of how each banner will look.

Each banner measures 24” wide by 60” long. Beneath the service person’s name and facts is a space for the sponsor’s name to be prominently displayed.
