2024 Hometown Hero Banners Program Guidelines

Each banner will be unique and honor a specific Mansfield Area service person; it will include his/her photo, name, branch of service, and era of service. Banners will be displayed on street- lamps throughout the commercial district in Mansfield. The program is non-political and non-partisan. The banners will serve as a reminder of our Country’s history and what the Mansfield Area has contributed to our Nation.

Each banner measures 24” wide by 60” long. Beneath the service person’s name and facts is a space for the sponsor’s name to be prominently displayed.

 

Guidelines- All service members and servicewomen must have the following qualifications:

1.    Reside in Mansfield, PA, presently or at some time in their lifetime.

2.    Served or serving our Country in one of the following: Army, Air Force, Coast Guard,

National Guard, Marines, Navy, or Space Force.

3.    Each servicemember must be presently serving, or be an honorably discharged veteran, or MIA/POW, or died in the line of duty.       

 

Sponsorships are $150.00 for new applicants, and donations from prior applicants will be appreciated to help keep the program viable.
